MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

The Membership Committee is dedicated to serving our chapter by working to connect with our existing members and reach out to prospective members. We work hard to welcome visitors and new members while also making longtime members feel appreciated for their service to our community. Each committee member is committed to fostering long-term relationships and growth in our chapter. The Membership Committee is the best place to connect with our members.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reach out to and welcome new members
  • Develop and implement member recruiting programs
  • Follow up with members who let their membership lapse
  • Reach out to students interested in a career in financial planning
  • Plan New Member Breakfasts
  • Coordinate NexGen events
  • Check-in all attendees at quarterly education meetings
  • Prepare name badges for education meetings

An ideal membership committee member is someone who is friendly, outgoing, creative, relational, and eager to serve with our chapter. This person is excited about connecting with people, but also enjoys a little event planning.

Membership committee volunteers participate in a number of various activities. We reach out to members for feedback and listen to those who decide to leave our chapter to find out what we can improve upon. We plan special events such as for new members and young financial planners (NexGen). The one place where every committee members participates is behind the membership table doing check-in at our quarterly meetings.
